16th Annual
Save Our Lake & Coast Fishing Rodeo

Congratulations to our WINNERS!

The 16th Annual Save Our Lake & Coast Fishing Rodeo was held on May 31 & June 1, 2013.  Participants had opportunities to become winners with their catches from the Pontchartrain Basin (which includes bayous, rivers, and tributaries of Lakes Pontchartrain, Maurepas, St. Catherine, Borgne and Breton Sound.).  The awards presentation was held on Saturday, June 1st at the Back to the Beach Festival at Laketown in Kenner.  All proceeds from the Save Our Lake & Coast Fishing Rodeo are used to continue efforts to restore and preserve the Pontchartrain Basin.

This year a Save Our Lake and Coast Fishing Rodeo Kickoff and Earlybird Party whas held on Thursday, May 16th, 5-8 pm, at the New Canal Lighthouse Museum & Education Center. Attendees participated in a Q & A session with our Lake Pontchartrain Panel of Captains.

We'd like to thank our Master of Ceremonies, Todd Masson and Honorary Chair, Derek Kevra. We are especially grateful for the generous support from our sponsors and volunteers that make the rodeo possible.
