The 14th Annual Save Our Lake & Coast Fishing Rodeo scheduled for AUGUST 7th & 8th has been CANCELED.

In the past few weeks, the oil leak has forced the closure of many areas of the Pontchartrain Basin.  The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation continues to closely monitor the situation and collect all available information to assess the status of the leak and its future position relative to any commercial and recreational fishing in additional areas of the Pontchartrain Basin. 

With these closures, we have decided to cancel the Fishing Rodeo this year. Please check back for further updates, or sign up for our Basin Bulletin e-newsletter to receive the latest information.
