Lighthouse Events

The New Canal Lighthouse Museum and Education Center opened to the public on Saturday, April 20th, 2013. Although construction of the lighthouse is complete, funding is still needed for exterior work, educational displays and landscaping.

The next LPBF event at the lighthouse is the Save Our Lake and Coast Fishing Rodeo Kickoff and Earlybird Party on Thursday, May 16th. Sponsors and attendees are invited to participate in a Q & A session with our Lake Pontchartrain Panel of Captains.
