Our hands-on inquiry-based programs are available to community partners, community-focused organizations, and scouting groups. Through our community programs, we strive to provide comprehensive access for underserved populations. Please reach out to us to discuss the possibility of your organization being a good fit for on-going, quarterly programs.
Community Partners and Organizations
Three easy steps allow you and your organization to particpate in our hands-on programming. Please review our programming guide for details on how to request a reservation, and our program descriptions for more information on our programs.
In addition, we partner with organizations who work with underserved populations to provide free, quarterly programs that allow participants to learn more about issues facing the Pontchartrain Basin.
Scouting groups are a vital part of our community! We are happy to do our part by facilitating educational opportunities for these amazing youth! Sign your troop up. They earn a badge for exploring the issues facing the Pontchartrain Basin. Please review our programming guide for details on how to request a reservation for one of our inquiry-based programs and our program descriptions for more information on our programs.
Splash! Water Engineering
Each year, in the fall, come spend a day at our lighthouse exploring how we can re-imagine our life with water!
Our daytime Girl Scout visitors will design, build, and test ways to live with water. Activities include designing an aquifer, moving water with ancient technology, and various engineering challenges.
Our overnight campers will explore ways to move and use urban water, and design a water-friendly New Orleans of the future!
Look for registration information in August!
